Since their creation in 1991, the CEMEX Awards have rewarded projects that propose new architectural, conceptual, technical, and aesthetic solutions. With 27 years of history, the event has become a reference for innovation in the construction industry, with the number of projects registered, as well as the quality of the entrants, increasing year by year.
In 2017, more than 500 works participated in the Mexico Edition, 18 of which were finalists, such as the Ciudad de los Archivos, Centro Cultural Comunitario Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca, and Torre Reforma in Mexico City. Meanwhile, the International Edition featured 45 projects from 17 countries, such as the Vitrolles Media Library in France and the Pavlov Arqcheopark in Czech Republic.
